Since Mother’s Day is coming up, I decided to hand letter a card for my mom & make it available for purchase. I know the phrase is a little untraditional, but what can I say… my mom IS a badass & I know a few expecting mothers who also fall into the category of badassery!

Pick yourself up a card here or an 8×10 print here

Pinterest Board Covers

I’m sure you & I can agree that Pinterest is one of the best things to happen on the web. I use it daily, wether i’m pinning or searching for inspiration, it’s a handy companion. From the beginning of my Pinterest usage, from time to time it would frustrate me looking at the various board cover images, they can become overwhelming. Recently I came up with the idea to my own covers, here’s the end result. Feel free to repin ┬áthe board covers for your own use. I imagine that I would redesign cover images from time to time to ‘freshen’ things up.

Everything about 2012’s ‘The Haunted Man, the third release from English singer-songwriter Natasha Kahn (AKA Bat For Lashes) gorgeous. The album ended up being one of my top five favorite releases of last year. On ‘The Haunted Man‘, Kahn lets her guard down, explores lush soundscapes and throws herself into every word of the evocative moving lyrics, her vocals are softer showing someone who is deeply hurt.

To me, the track “Laura” is extremely powerful with it’s simpleness that features only a piano and delicate horns floating in the distance. I find Kahn’s voice is so powerful here & I get emotional with every listen, it’s simple the finest song she’s written. One line from the song strikes me every time… “You’re the train that crashes my heart.”

So I Was Listening To A Podcast

Whether it’s my husband, my friend Clairice, or the other people in my life, many conversations start with, “So, I was listening to a podcast”. (I actually don’t listen to podcasts. I’m more of a radio junkie and a music listener, in fact, I am currently streaming my local community station & geeking out over Radiothon.)

The thing is… I really look forward to these discussions, It usually means the next bit of info that follows will 90% of the time be extremely fascinating! Do you listen to podcasts, if so, what are some of your favorites?

Recently, I was contacted by Lance Saunders of S&S Presents, to do some poster work. If you frequent Kilby Court or Urban Lounge, chances are you have been to a S&S event. Lance along with Will Sartain, are the two heads behind S&S AND they happen to own both venues. Yeah, they’re kind of a big deal around the SLC area. The moment I was asked to design a poster, I jumped at the opportunity. You can purchase it poster here.
